Most dogs are hesitant to climb on place the first time, so I’m using high value treats to lure her on. She practiced settling at my feet. We took a place board outside for a different setting and I worked on backing up a step, then several and returning to her. I brought out another dog as a distraction for both. :) Her first down on place - this one is typically not gotten the first day. Staying on place with me moving around her.
