"Day by Day (and with each passing moment)'" is a Christian hymn written in 1865 by Carolina (Lina) Sandell after she had witnessed the tragic drowning death of her father at sea. Lina was the daughter of a Swedish Pastor and was very close to her father. Like many Christians, Lina learned that when pain and tragedy strike, God may use that experience to deepen our faith.
