As always, you - the wingman- must acknowledge the turn by checking away away for 10 to 30 degrees. In a verbal command situation, you do the acknowledgement maneuver as soon as the leader stops talking and after you have checked with the HSI, the new heading. Remember that you must always plan for 90 degrees turn. In a comm-out situation, usually you anticipate the turn since you are doing a planned route. But even if you don't, the zipper from your leader must warn you that something is about to happen. When you hear the zipper and immediately you see your leader turning, you must decide the direction of the turn, either away or into. In real life this is quite easy for pilot with 20/20 eyesight. In DCS with VR it's not that easy. So, I recommend the following : You know that your Leader wants a 90 into, if you see him keep turning after the zipper. If he wanted a 90 away, he would have rolled upright (straight and level flight) right after the belly flash. #DCStutorial #tactical turns #line abreast formation-DCS #2-ship tactical formation -DCS #dcsworld
