A quick video on how to use the Delete Face tool in Solidworks to remove geometry in a part file.
How to access the feature from the menu;
Insert - Face - Delete
Make sure you check "delete and patch" if you want to retain the solid body. This is a useful tool when you are send a .IGES or .STEP file that has no part history and you need to quickly make modifications to the design.
