A demo on density. Another demo that didn’t work exactly right but I still used in the classroom. The beaker contains a thick layer of canola oil and on top of it a layer of less dense baby oil. The ice cube was supposed to float at the boundary of the two oils. Ideally, we would have seen the ice cube move up and down as it lost mass due to melting. A little of that can be seen in the video but not as much as I was hoping. This video shows progress over 10 minutes (approximately).
