“Different Light” (Dramatic Ballad) is the sixth and final song in my neurodivergent series. The main characters throughout the series draw inspiration from documented historical figures such as Vincent van Gogh, Nikola Tesla, Leonardo da Vinci, Winston Churchill, Joan of Arc, and Temple Grandin — brilliant minds who saw the world differently. My hope is that this series shines a light on the beauty of neurodivergence and helps neurotypical thinkers gain a deeper understanding of different minds. Imagine what could happen if people truly understood these differences and helped nurture the incredible strengths that often come with them. I created this series in honor of the many people I know and love — those still here, those no longer with us, and the countless diagnosed and undiagnosed individuals who recognize themselves in these experiences. My message is simple: The world would be a much duller place without people like you.
