DITHER was created with Aqeel Aadam's Outgrowth sampler in mind, but the audio files can be used in any sampler. Outgrowth allows the user to stack samples for playback, and then scan through them as the sounds are sustained, which makes DITHER come alive with texture and movement. Send Outgrowth's internal LFOs to the filter cutoff, filter feedback, and sample scan rate and you'll have a living, breathing pad under your music or video. Even without Outgrowth, DITHER is a wonderful tool for any other playable sampler engine. Put it in Sample Alchemy in Logic Pro or Logic for iPad, or Imaginando FRMS Granular for granular playback. Load it into Ableton's Simpler for easy playback on Desktop. Put it in Drambo and slice the samples, set playback stile to one-slice and random, then send MIDI notes for glitchy playback. DITHER contains 20 .WAV files that are named creatively for organization but the names do not necessarily reflect the content of the sample. dither :: fragments contains 5 of the 20 .WAV files from the full pack. Every sound in DITHER is cleared for commercial and non-commercial use. Happy creating.
