The plaintiff says she hired the defendant to help obtain a certificate of occupancy so she could sell her home. She claims the defendant is a crook who overcharged her and did little to no work, so she’s suing for a refund. The defendant says she completed substantial work clearing legal issues on the property and fulfilled her obligations. She believes the plaintiff is simply trying to avoid paying for services rendered and says she has proof of the work performed.
