In this video, we demonstrate the proper way to don and doff your SCBA.
DONNING procedures:
1. Open cylinder fully - acknowledge Vibralert and Pak alert activation
2. Visually check cylinder air pressure gauge
3. Don SCBA by grasping backframe with both hands on either side of the cylinder. Make sure area behind is clear and throw harness over your head, dropping it onto your shoulders. Tighten all straps
4. Don facepiece
5. Don structure gloves
6. Click in
DOFFING procedures:
1. Unclick regulator
2. Remove gloves
3. Remove Helmet and hood
4. Doff facepiece and place back into coat
5. Don helmet
