I wore my pride like polished steel, But steel can rust, and wounds still feel. The night we broke, I held my ground— But silence makes the loudest sound. I thought the past would fade to gray, But it lingers in the bones that stay. Don’t look back ~~ It cuts too deep inside your chest. Every word we left unsaid Still echoes in the dark like lead. Let it fall from tired hands, We were never built to stand On broken trust and silent blame. Some love won’t stay the same. Close that door, Let it end before it bends. I chased success through crowded rooms, Bright-lit stages, empty tunes. Faces changed but doubt remained, A crown of smoke, a name unstained.
