Driver Seat
Driver Seat As I drive So many thoughts cross my mind So many thoughts are racing As I drive So many paths cross my car So many paths are fading So simple and so easy to miss All the beauty that’s around me The towns, the fields and the trees The valleys, the hills and the sea I am thankful to see the sunrise I am thankful to see the sunset I am grateful for the blue skyline I am grateful for Your limitless vastness That I can witness your majestic canvas That always remind us to your greatness As I drive So many thoughts cross my mind So many thoughts are racing As I drive So many paths cross my car So many paths are fading I am thankful to see the Sea When driving home Driving home To my family So simple and so easy to miss All the people driving their way All the stories folding away Without purpose in their life Unless their paths collide So simple and so easy to miss If we race to perform not to live I don’t want to race anymore I don’t need to race anymore I want to let Jesus drive I need to let Jesus drive So, I let go Just let go Don’t let me hold the wheels until is too late I don’t want to be driving at the end of the road Don’t let me hold onto anything that’s not my fate I don’t want to be spinning out of control Don’t let me hold the wheels until is too late I don’t want to be driving at the end of the road Don’t let me hold onto anything that’s not my fate I don’t want to be spinning out of control I give up the driver’s seat Performance is not presence I give up the driver’s seat There is no home to arrive at If I am not on your road The narrow road that you set I don’t know where I am going in this life But You do I don’t know where this road takes I trust You
