Emptiness (17 EDO Ambient)

This is my first (legitimate) foray into generative music. It's an ambient piece that includes slowly evolving chords and evokes a sense of loneliness, drifting in space (or under the sea). I used 4 different Bitwig tracks: chords, a drone, a "melody," and a "percussion" track using white noise. Each track had a decent number of parameters being randomly modulated in order to create motion. The chords were also chosen at random. I had 7 different chords to choose from, and they were picked at random. This required some wizardry with the multi-note and pitch-12 devices. Every chord was in the key of C-Dorian (the 17 EDO version), as was the melody. Generative music is a somewhat new thing for me. I know the basic concepts, but I always found it intimidating to not have control over everything. Hopefully this didn't turn out too bad. Image is of the Orion nebula.
