Entrapment was a performance/video work that showed me sitting in front of a torch and melting glass strings to build a cage around my hands. With the glimmering light of torch flame, everything looked vague except the moments when the glass became glowing hot. In the end, I completed the glass cage around both hands, sincerely examined it and remained in the dark with total solitary. The piece was about depression — its pain, fragility and how depressed one would deliberately encase him/herself in a cage. 2009
