GNU Octave is an (awesome) open source alternative to MATLAB, so we can never find a better example to start our installation series with. In this video, we go for the simplest form of installing programs inside Linux: using package managers. In Ubuntu, the default package manager is called apt and is quite good at installing various types of programs ranging from very simple to big and complex.
