Original Song. Music and Lyrics by Colleen Kobussen. Copyright 2011, Colleen Ann Kobussen. For my piano display, I decided to place 3 treasured souvenirs at my side: 1) A score of "No One Is Alone" from "Into The Woods", signed by Stephen Sondheim. (scored in D-flat Major, the same key in which this song, "Epilogue" arrived to me) 2) My study score of Brahms' "Ein Deutsches Requiem", signed by Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Julia Varady, and Thomas Hampson. 3) My CD recording of Schubert's "Schwanengesang" and Brahms' "Vier ernste Gesänge", signed by the artists Thomas Quasthoff and Justus Zeyen. Schubert, Brahms, Rellstab, Heine, Hammerstein II, and Sondheim... if you connect the dots between these songs and songwriters, you may understand why I chose these particular souvenirs to help represent what, for me, this song is about. Lyrics: Thank you, my friend, though it seems like the end, I know we'll be together again. In fields of clover, when it's over, I'll be waiting there. Promise you'll stay, just as lovely as today. There'll be a time when we'll laugh and we'll play, through nights of jasmine, when all that has been finished, clears the way. Keep your head high, Keep your heart strong, Darkness fades to light. You will find me in the joy of endless days and timeless nights. Beyond all our tears, Beyond any fears, Safe in the place where the hurt disappears. In fields of clover, when it's over, We will meet again! Epilogue ("We Will Meet Again")
