Eye assets in Unity: Comparison and Tutorial
This video describes and compares the different eye assets available on the Unity AssetStore. We compare these eyes to the standard eyes imported by DAZ and Character Creator 3 (CC3) models. The video also describes how to replace the standard eyes with any of the 3rd party assets available on the Unity AssetStore. Specifically, we compare the following assets: Realistic and Fantasy Eyes https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/3d/characters/humanoids/realistic-fantasy-eyes-67861 (Realistic) Eyes https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/3d/characters/humanoids/eyes-realistic-10857 Eye Shader https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/vfx/shaders/eye-shader-134717 Easy Eyes https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/vfx/shaders/easy-eyes-74354 Eye Advanced https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/3d/characters/eye-advanced-30762 My conclusion is that Eye Shader is the best choice for non-human eyes. Easy Eyes is the best budget option for realistic human eyes, and Eye Advanced offers by far the most realistic human eyes at a somewhat higher price.
