FCTR: Distortion part 2
In part 1 on the topic of distortion we looked at what distortion is, how it works and what gear is needed to achieve overdrive/distortion effects. Part 2 (below) focuses on how to apply distortion effects in your playing, whether emulating an electric guitar or exploring all new violin sounds. Matt demonstrates some of the many different guitaristic effects you can achieve by playing a simple distortion tone with different bowed and plucked (or picked) articulations and how those sounds may fit into a song arrangement. We love hearing your ideas, questions and feedback! How you use distortion in your playing? Let us know or ask any questions in the comments.
