In 2019, we had the most wonderful adventure, in a long life of wonderful adventures. After a work conference ended a week-long stay in Boston, we rented a car and drove 21 days down the Eastern Seaboard to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, for another 7 days in our favorite place. Every day was a piece of art. Its own heaven. The car really was a dented Yaris the rental car company provided when they rented our full-size SUV by mistake. We really did decide not to trade it at the next Hertz office. We really did go on boats and buses and trains and see history and art and sunrises and sunsets and eat whatever and drink whatever we wanted. We really did spend 21 perfect days free and in love.
