FOOLING YOURSELF - Styx drum cover

NEW MONTH, NEW DRUM COVER! 🥁😎🥁😎🥁😎🥁 This month, I'm covering the song FOOLING YOURSELF (The Angry Young Man) by Styx, originally released on THE GRAND ILLUSION album in 1977. Rather than the studio version, I've chosen a live concert version from about 2006. The song was written by guitarist TOMMY SHAW. The lyrics describe a cynical young man whose attitude is preventing him from enjoying life. Initially written about an acquaintance, Shaw says that the song has become more personal over time as he began to see himself in the lyrics. Musically, the arrangement features the acoustic guitar, an extended synthesizer solo, and several changes in time signature. It's a fun listen and enjoyable to learn & play.
