Franklin: Hard Surface Tracking
This is a complete video of Frank's session on 25 June 2021 (8 months old) where he tracked approximately 650m across hard surfaces in a new environment with other people's tracks crossing over. There were no articles on this track. Instead, I gave an indirect reward marker twice during the track, and once approaching the end of the track to finish the session. This is only the second time Frank has tracked in this kind of environment (train station, stadium carpark, numerous other tracks crossing over) and he did great. The couple of times he lost the track, he stayed focused while hunting for it and committed to it once he found it. A little bit of reactivity/frustration from people passing by but that is being resolved separately in other training sessions and won't be a problem in the future. Depending how things develop in society during/after this current COVID lockdown, we will progress to more challenging environments and navigating different kinds of obstacles and possibilities that they may encounter while tracking in real life scenarios.
