Tracking - starting Article Indications

This is a 5 minute compilation of some training sessions I did recently with the 2 new pups I'm developing - Roger & Richard. I've just started teaching them Tracking which is going to be a huge part in their careers as working dogs for either Law Enforcement or the Military. The way I train this is by starting with the Article Indication. I don't really require any precision during this phase. What's important to me now, is ignition - the desire to figure out what is required and to do the required task despite what's going on around you. Later in the tracking process, we can come back and develop the precision that's needed. By the end of the video, you can see they've started to actually use their nose to follow the track for a few meters to find and then indicate on the article. This tells me they're ready to begin the next phase of Tracking, so stay tuned for the next video to follow their progress. Thanks for checking out this video!
