SCAMMELL: Do you think you’re a student who demonstrates qualities of academic achievement combined with volunteerism in our school or in our community? If you would like to apply for the Legends award, please see the information outside of student services. Applications need to be submitted to Mrs. Scammell today by 4pm! FROM STUDENT SERVICES: Hey everyone, do you feel like releasing some stress and having fun? Come see us today at lunch in the main gym for some Just Dance! Bring your energy, dance moves, and get ready to have fun! FROM THE LION DANCE CLUB: We are organizing traditions in motion, a student-led charity performance fundraising for Leecaring Communities, a long term-senior care centre in our city. Come join us to watch a performance of various cultural artforms in celebration of Asian Heritage month, where dance teams from both Lillian and ME Lazerte will be performing. Traditions in motion will take place tomorrow, from 2-3:30pm in the large gym. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults and free for kids under 6. Come and bring your friends to enjoy an afternoon of dance, music and performance and raffle prizes to support all our students! All proceeds will go to charity. We hope to see you there! We all know it by now, but we’re running a Krispy Kreme fundraiser to support the Grad Gala!! Pick up an order form from The Nest in Room 221 or print one from the Grad Google Classroom. Boxes are $15, so ask family, friends, and your community to help out. Today is your last day to get in your payments!! Donut pickup is May 25. FROM THE CHESS CLUB: Hey legends, Lillian Osborne's chess club has partnered with Harry Ainlay and OSA for the Interschool Fundhouse tournament on May 26th from 5-8:30 pm at Harry Ainlay! Make sure to come down to the grand staircase at lunch for the runway fashion show competition. The top three finalists will win prizes including LO hats! You will only be eligible if your backpack adheres to these rules: your item must not be a human, it must fit through the door, you must be able to carry it up the stairs, and it cannot hurt others. Let’s see some creativity, Legends!! FROM THE AWARDS COMMITTEE: Are you interested in public speaking and volunteering with the school? We are looking for 2 MCs to host our annual Awards Night celebration that's taking place the evening of Thursday, June 11. The MC role is open to any grade 10 or 11 student.
