Fun-Duh-Mental

I am so conflicted, as are many, about the onslaught of this relatively new surge in technology known as Artificial Intelligence (AI). First off, for an old analog guy like me, it’s hard to understand it’s sources and operating systems...the incredible speed in which it generates whatever it is used to generate is mind blowing. Like most all technological advances, it has its pros and cons. The efficiency and accuracy in which it provides results is certainly a positive, yet it is only as good as the data it has and uses to produce those results. I can see potential for incredible assistance for those with various disabilities… but I also see frightening use of it for harm and/or negative influence. From an artistic and creative standpoint, it can easily and swiftly produce pieces of music, pictures, “drawings”, etc. that actually look and sound incredible. But, for me at least, the results lack a key ingredient…human soul. One thing is certain, AI ain’t going away…it is here to stay and my prayer is that its impact will be way more positive than negative. It is, undoubtedly, another incredible testament to the vast power and potential our great God has created in us. As for my feeble mental capacity (duh), I’ve yet to explore much past the fun aspect of AI, and with that said, here is a silly little montage of the creative characatures AI has made of me, from several photos, doing what I love to do…play guitar. I created the soundtrack, sans AI, but with the help of backing tracks recorded by actual musicians. I call it….”Fun-Duh-Mental”.🤪
