In this video, I describe the different morphologies of galaxies that we see in space. I describe why there are different types of galaxies, and how galaxies form. Astronomers can study the evolution of the universe by studying galaxies at ever increasing distances. I conclude by discussing the super massive black holes at the center of the galaxies.
