A delicious recipe for using garlic scapes!
Garlic scape pesto
1 cup garlic scapes
1/2 cup unsalted sunflower seeds (or pine nuts/ cashews/ walnuts...)
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup fresh basil
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon lemon juice
salt to taste
Finely chop garlic scapes in a food processor
Add sunflowers and olive oil until all are of fine consistency
Add basil, cheese, and lemon juice
Salt to taste
