In this tutorial, we walk through how to create a simple structural model in SAFI™ using the main tools found in the Home tab. You’ll learn how to set units, create grids, define materials and sections, and build the geometry using joints, members, and surfaces. We also cover essential operations like copying and extruding elements, assigning supports, and applying sections to the model.
Next, we introduce load cases, load combinations, self-weight, and surface loads before verifying the model and running a linear static analysis. Finally, we explore the result visualization tools, including displacement views, shear and moment diagrams, reaction tables, and member force results. The tutorial concludes with an overview of the reporting features that allow you to generate detailed, customizable engineering reports.
