In this video, we walk through the complete process of creating a base plate for a tower using the VTS Virtual Tower Structures® software.

Create a new base plate through the Base Plates command
Assign the base plate to selected columns or all columns
Define plate dimensions, thickness, and edge distances
Select and configure a rectangular base plate
Apply rotation, weld size, and anchor rod details
Generate and update the Fabrication Model
Add reinforcement options, including:
• Toe reinforcements (plates and clips)
• Heel reinforcements (plates, clips, and angles)
• Gusset plates connected to diagonals
Disable reinforcement when using a gusset, if needed
