God Prepares a Way

Reading from 2 Samuel 23, Pastor Burleson reminds us to remember where we are. If you don't know, we are on Earth. The Earth is the devil's playground, and the devil roams to and fro seeking whom he may devour (paraphrased from Ephesians 2:2 and 1 Peter 5:8, respectively). The correction of God will fall upon you, even though God has made a covenant with you, as he also had with David (from 2 Samuel 23:5). God's love isn't about favorites. His love is about preparing you, equipping you, and saving you. God does not send you out into the dark. He gives you his Holy Word to learn and to battle against the devil. Stand on the promises of God, and you will walk through the fire. You may be in a pit, but you will be shown a way out. The Lord is the strength of my life (paraphrased from Psalm 28:7)! "No weapon formed against me shall prosper" (paraphrased from Isaiah 54:17). You need God everyday! You don't figure God out-- You believe in Him! By grace and faith you are saved. Lay down your grudges, jealousy, hatred, etc., and pick up your cross and follow Jesus!
