"The Bedroom Makeover".
Phase 1 provided students had 10 classes to redesign their existing bedroom.
They started off with a ✅rough sketch recording detailed site measurements (review of feet/inches), followed by the creation of a ✅1/4"=1'-0" scale drawing of the room, then ✅digitized it in AutoCAD, then ✅brainstormed/researched ideas for their new room, and finally a ✅3d Sketchup model of the final redesign. They also had to realistically follow and track a ✅budget of $5000.
Phase 2 of the assignment required students to utilize all their previous steps to put together a ✅presentation about their design and the process over the course of 2 days.
Definitely a large scale project, but also really fun for them to see their new room design come to life.
