Joseph Plunkett was one of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising, imprisoned by British forces for his role in the fight for Irish independence. He was held in Kilmainham Gaol, where he married Grace Gifford just hours before his execution on May 4th 1916.
Their story has been immortalised through the powerful ballad written by Seán and Frank O’Meara, and today, on the anniversary of these events, I wanted to share my own performance.
