Gray Wednesday

Verse 1 They say it’s Ash Wednesday, gray upon the day, But gray has lingered here, it’s where my heart lays. Once I saw the world in a rainbow’s embrace, Now fog fills the streets, an empty, silent space. Some find joy in the simplest things, I used to too, in vibrant swings. Now I force a smile, a laugh rehearsed, But deep inside there’s a piece immersed. Pre-Chorus I’ve learned the hard way, nothing’s guaranteed, Life’s a rollercoaster, highs and lows proceed.
