A wonderful project Ms. Greco thought up (with some inspiration from Oprah) that taught her first graders some important life lessons. The children and their families each thought of a charity, and then convened in 6 groups of 3 to narrow down the pool. Once each group had a charity, presentations were done for the community, who would ultimately be deciding the winner of $1,500. Although only one could win, the children all learned that they and their charities were ALL winners.
