GTA SA: Rigging a 3d model using blender
blender version - 2.91 DragonFF version - https://github. com/Parik27/DragonFF/tree/legacy-multi-clump _____________________________Troubleshoot___________________________________ Q: The skin is too bright in-game A: This happens when you accidentally enter Vertex Paint mode, to fix this Go to Object Data Properties and expand Vertex Colors, if you see an active index, delete it... Or you can enter Vertex Paint Mode/go to paint/invert Q: Some vertices are buggy A: Some parts hasn't been weight-painted. Go to pose mode, move the root bone. The vertices that don't move requires weight paint Q: Invisible faces A: turn on Face Orientation in blender to see which face is facing in opposite direction. The red color means itll be invisible if viewed from that angle. You can select red faces in Edit Mode and press Alt+N/Flip to fix the issue Q: The skin selector froze when selecting the skin A: This usually indicates to an issue with txd. When importing textures inside a txd file, use dxt1 compression. It saves memory and disk space Q: Skin is too blocky A: Clear the sharp edges. If that's not enough, add & apply subdivision surface modifier to make it smoother. Q: "Too many vertices in mesh" A: Clear the unwanted vertices from edit mode/select all vertices/mesh/clean up/merge by distance Q: Can't attach the model with bone A: After the update, some meshes can be inside an armature which also happens to be inside an empty object. first you'd select the mesh of the model youre working on from the outliner. The icon of a mesh is a triangle⛛. Then hold CTRL and select the mesh of the pedestrian model that you extracted(Like i said, it can be inside an armature so be sure to expand the hierarchy first). And now you can press CTRL+J and it should be joined. Q: The character arms are lifted while performing animation A: Generally, you'd expect this when the character's default pose is T-pose in Blender. If the character's pose is any other than San Andreas' default A-pose, you'd see some tilting in the arm. To fix it, you gonna have to retarget the rig. Select the armature, enter Pose Mode, select Left and Right UpperArm bone, Rotate it to align with the character's arm, press CTRL+A, Apply current pose as Rest pose
