SFX WOUNDS IN DIFFERENT MEDIUMS - HALLOWEEN MAKEUP TUTORIAL - HALLOWEEN WEEK part 3 - how to video about creating special effects makeup wounds, cuts and scratches with different mediums and materials. There's something for everyone of every skill level, and for those without access to sfx makeup. Perfect quick and easy to follow tutorial for halloween, trick or treating, greeting, film and photo. THIS VIDEO INCLUDES: Only makeup (no SFX products used), Scar wax and Liquid latex. When is halloween week? Monday 8th October to Friday 12th October. What is halloween week? Stay tuned for more spooky content. ————— My previous video (BROKEN NOSE SFX): https://youtu.be/_ZozodQRykU #Halloween #SFX #HalloweenMakeup ---------- WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Only makeup: - Red lipliner (or alternative) - Eyeshadow: pink, purple, brown, light - red lip lacquer Scar wax: - Scar wax - Vasseline - A tool with a flat edge (like a sculpting tool or nail file) - powder eyeshadow: pink, purple, brown - Fake blood Liquid latex: - Liquid latex - Tissue - A barbecue skewer (or stick to use when moulding the prosthetic that can be thrown away) - Foundation and concealer - face powder - eyeshadow: Pink, Purple, Brown and black - Fake blood STEPS: Only makeup: - Draw the line where the cut will be with lip liner - add depth with brown eyeshadow - Add irritation around the slice with pink eyeshadow tones. Use a variety of colours for extra detail and realism - Use purple and browns to create the illusion of bruising - Leave a small gap around the cut. Then, highlight it with a light eyeshadow - Add the red lip lacquer on a small brush and add it along the line of the cut. (fake blood) - Dot some lightly around the cut to mimic blood splatter. Use your finger to transfer it in light dots scar wax: - Roll some scar wax into a sausage and press firmly to your face - Add some vaseline to your fingers to prevent the scar wax from sticking - Bulid up the scar wax - use a small brush with vaseline. the heat of your hands, will make the scar wax tacky - Use a flat edge of an object and gently create a slice in the scar wax - Set with powder. concealer can be used - Add irritation with rosy eyeshadow tones and blush. Use a variety of colours for extra detail and realism. - Use purple tones and browns to create the illusion of bruising - With a fine brush, add brown eyeshadow to the inside to create depth. With a fine brush, add fake blood inside the wound. - Lightly dot some fake blood outside the cut. dab your finger on it and around to transfer some more blood splatters. Liquid latex: - With the stick, place the liquid latex onto the desired area. - Place the tissue onto of the latex. - Saturate the tissue in liquid latex, then shape into place. - This piece of tissue will be the bottom half of the wound. Ensure the bottom is flat to your sin, but gently peel the top away, to create a flap of skin. - Add a second layer of tissue. this will strengthen the prosthetic. - Repeat for the top off the cut - Leave to dry. To speed up use a hairdryer on the cool setting. - Once dry, cover with foundation and concealer. Once done, powder. - Add irritation around the slice with rosy eyeshadow tones and blush. Use a variety of colours for extra detail and realism. - Use purple toned and browns to create the illusion of bruising - Fill in the SFX wound with the red lip liner. - Go over the inside of the wound with black and brown eyeshadow to create darkness and depth. - Add fake blood to the inside of the wound. - Lightly dot some fake blood outside the cut. dab your finger on it and around to transfer some more blood splatters (this may cover up the blend between your skin and the latex prosthetic) ----------------- I hope you enjoyed the video.
