How to replace the battery in an HD 808 #16 keychain camera. The older versions of this camera do not have a connector leading from the battery to the circuit board, so wires must be cut and soldered. This is a newer one that does have the connector. The HD 808 keychain camera has been around for a number of years and was originally popular with the remote controlled model aircraft crowd. I bought one originally to put in my little Harbor Freight "Yellow Bee" r/c airplane. It worked for that, but the vibration of the motors distorted the picture. These days I use these little cameras as "dash cams" in my car and on my bicycle. They use very little power so I can run two of them for approximately 8 hours on my 10,000 mAh battery pack. They can be set to turn on automatically once they sense power, and turn off again once power is lost. They can also do "loop recording", where they will record in 5 minute segments and when the memory card is full, they will delete the oldest segment and record a new one, and repeat that indefinitely. They can also take still shots, plus have several other camera modes, such as time lapse mode. There are many different models of this camera out these days with different focal lengths and video quality. They are available on Amazon and eBay and are very inexpensive to moderately expensive depending on where you buy and what model you select. You will save money by buying from a seller located in China. A reputable eBay seller from China who has been selling these for many years is eletoponline365. https://ebay.us/ri384D For more information and reviews see https://www.chucklohr.com/808/ .
