Healing Rain Some walk with shadows in their eyes As if they stand alone Carrying faith like weary chains With hearts as cold as stone But heaven sings a brighter song A melody of grace And every soul that trusts the Lord Can shine with heaven’s face Why hide the light He placed within Why wear despair all day The Father loves a grateful heart That lifts His name in praise Joy still rises in the middle of the pain Mercy falls like gentle healing rain When I am weak Your arms are strong enough for me You calm the storm inside my sea You know the stars that fill the endless night above Yet still You hold this broken heart with love I will bring my burdens every fear and every scar And rest them where Your faithful shoulders are Child of God when fear surrounds And trembling fills your soul The One who formed the universe Is still in full control If darkness whispers you are lost His truth will be your guide And every wound the world has made He heals with hands so kind When trials rise like raging waves And strength feels far away He opens paths we cannot see And carries us through grace Joy still rises in the middle of the pain Mercy falls like gentle healing rain When I am weak Your arms are strong enough for me You calm the storm inside my sea You know the stars that fill the endless night above Yet still You hold this broken heart with love I will bring my burdens every fear and every scar And rest them where Your faithful shoulders are Every anxious thought Every heavy chain I lay them at Your feet again You are peace for the weary Hope for the worn Strength for the battle I’m fighting through the storm Joy still rises though the night is long and deep My Father never slumbers never sleeps And though I may feel helpless I am never left alone Your everlasting love will lead me home You count the stars that shine across eternity Yet still You gently care for even me So I will trust forever come what may tomorrow bring And find my rest beneath my Savior’s wings
