Healthy Relationships
In week four of our HEALTHY series, we explore what Scripture says about Healthy Relationships through Ephesians 4:25-32. Paul reminds us that when Jesus transforms our hearts, that transformation naturally reshapes the way we relate to others. Healthy relationships are not built on appearances or performance, but on truth. Real connection begins when we put away falsehood, choose honestly, and allow ourselves to be fully known. Truth is the foundation that makes trust, healing, and growth possible. Paul also teaches that healthy relationships are sustained by grace. Because every relationship will face tension, disappointment, and moments of conflicts, grace becomes essential. Grace gives us the ability to respond with patience instead of reaction, to build up rather than tear down, and to create space for healing instead of division. Through the Holy Spirit, our words and responses can become vehicles of peace, restoration, and life to the people around us. Finally, healthy relationships are restored through forgiveness. Forgiveness does not excuse pain or ignore what was broken, it surrenders the hurt to God and releases us from bitterness. This kind of forgiveness is only possible because of what Jesus has first done for us through the cross. When we receive His grace and forgiveness, our hearts are transformed, and we become people who can extend that same grace to others. Healthy relationships don't begin by trying harder, they begin by surrendering to Jesus, the One who makes all things new.
