A lot of lower back pain is caused from strain and sprain on the tissues surrounding the lower spinal region and over time this can increase the stress and strain placed upon the lumbar discs. If severe enough, you can get a bulging (or herniated lumbar disc) that may cause lower back pain and sciatica nerve pain down your leg. Lumbar herniations can happen at any level and this decompression stretch is targeted for the region L2-L3. This stretch is designed to target that area and to decompress the lumbar region thereby reducing the pressure within the spinal discs. This can allow for the bulging material to be reabsorbed back into the spinal disc, and relive any pressure on pinched nerves, which of course will put the body in a better state to heal and for you to have less pain. This spinal decompression (traction) stretch is safe, effective and does not require any special equipment. You can easily do it in the comfort of your own home, in the office or even in the gym.
