This hinge may be used in combination with a variety of items such as skis or a guitar to make them collapsible for easy storage and transportation.
The hinge includes a 6 bar mechanism enables the hinge to rotate 180 degrees. It contains 5 movable links, 5 revolution joints and 2 prismatic joints.
The two bodies (transparent yellow and transparent green) of the hinge are placed in the holes of the blue item and are fixed with screws.
In the unfolded position, the two halves of the item are secured by a device that consists of two orange pins and a red eccentric shaft.
