I want to show you how I build an exercise. When you work with me, I don’t just select an exercise then add a weight, which is what I used to do when I was based in a gym. That method is fine but what I’ve noticed over the years is that as we’re all moving less, our range of movement isn’t as good and I believe we’re not getting as much benefit from the traditional fitness training model and we’ll likely get to the point where we’re no longer progressing, much sooner. My starting point now is to look at how you move, what range of movement you have then work towards increasing that range so you can get more out of each exercise, engage more muscles, improve stability and balance and build strength along the way. This approach will help you feel a difference and progress quicker, provide you with limitless options on where we go with exercises and ensure you never reach the point where you’re no longer progressing. This is much less about the strength of muscles and what you look like and more about discovering what is possible for you.
