How Much Does a Post-Frame Building Cost?
How much does a post-frame building cost? In this video, Meyer Building’s Matthew Gerber shares realistic ballpark cost estimate ranges to help you begin to plan a post-frame building investment whether you’re looking for basic storage, a finished interior, or a full commercial facility. Here are the general ranges discussed: Building shell: roughly $35-$50 per sq. ft. Finished interior, concrete, and utilities: roughly $65-$90 per sq. ft. Commercial projects with complete site work: roughly $150-$200 per sq. ft. Use these numbers as approximate starting points, but talk with a trusted post-frame building partner to price your exact plan because every project is custom to your needs: https://www.meyerbuilding.com/ #MeyerBuilding #PostFrameConstruction #BuildingCosts #ConstructionCosts TRANSCRIPT So I love talking about the cost of a post-frame building because there are so many factors that can affect it. But, maybe just to give a couple ranges off the top: You know, if you think about the shell of the building, you might be somewhere between $35 and $50 per square foot, depending on the size and complexity. And then if you think about stepping on the inside, if you want to finish out the inside or add concrete or maybe even some electrical or heating, you might be somewhere in the neighborhood of, you know, $65 to $90 per square foot, depending on the finishes and all the walls and doors. And then as you think about a commercial structure that includes excavation and site work and asphalt parking lots and all the utilities associated with your project, you can be anywhere between $150 and $200 per square foot. Use these square foot numbers as a ballpark to get you in the right world, but as you actually want to understand the dollar amount associated with your specific project, due to the custom nature and the complexities associated, you need to engage your trusted post-frame building partner.
