Most of the time, I’m on stage to make people laugh. But this night was different.
Standing in front of the Stuttering Association for the Young (SAY), the goal wasn't a punchline, it was a connection. For over 20 years, SAY has been doing the vital work of creating a world where every child who stutters is heard and valued.
They provide more than just a community; they provide a sanctuary where young people can build the confidence to speak their truth without fear of judgment. Being involved with this organization means the world to me because I know exactly what it feels like to wonder if your voice has a place. Seeing these kids embrace their voices reminds me that letting go of the need for perfection is where real strength lives.
