How the Cloud Has Transformed Software Development at Google

Technology is disrupting business. Systems must operate, provide security, and be flexible to deal with this changing landscape. Agility and time to market make the difference between winning and losing. What is constant is rapid change. Technology is causing this change, and the "cloud" is moving it faster. Google and many cloud providers are transforming engineering through technology. Developers are innovating and disrupting markets by moving quickly and using tools to increase feature velocity. These tools enable a high velocity engineering culture. At Google, our physical and software infrastructure (our cloud), code (our products) and our people are how we innovate. I will discuss how we write the systems that we do through continuous delivery, how DevOps enables us to speed up launching features, and how our engineering culture thrives.
