If you are reading a book, listening to a podcast or watching a video, you want to take notes of the interesting things quickly - without having to think about where to store the note, and without having to (necessarily) process the new information later.
Learn in this video how I capture fleeting notes quickly. I follow the PARA system to structure my folders and in my Areas I have one folder called "Fleeting Notes". For each source, I'm creating one note. For example, if I'm reading the book "Bullet Journal", I'm creating one note with that title. I also tend to prepend it with a book emoji so I know what kind of source it is (📖 = book, 📻 = podcast and so on).
In a later step you can turn the Fleeting Notes into permanent notes (means notes that are linked with other notes and have fully formed ideas, written in your words). But this last step is not really necessary, until you want to go into that topic.
