This video will introduce students to the creative world of random pleating. Random pleats can be found in high end garments. Moreso, the luxury and couture market. They are commonly seen on dresses and skirts. Designers known for random pleating are Issey Miyake, McQueen, Pugh, Galliano, and Dior. Definitely do your market research. Go to Barney's, Saks, Bloomingdales, Bergdorfs and see how many random pleated skirts and dresses you can find. Take note of the placement and width as well. NOTE: Random pleats can be any size.
