How To Make Hardtack

Lady Aga goes over how to make this delicious, crunchy survival food. Here is the simplified recipe: 1. Take 3 cups of flour, 1 cup of distilled water, and 2 teaspoons sea salt. 2. On clean surface, mix flour with salt, create a well, pour in water and start mixing with spoon or hands so it does not stick. Add slightly more flour or water as necessary. 3. Once ready roll dough out to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut out shapes of your choosing. 4. Poke some holes to allow even cooling. 5. Place shapes on baking sheet or pizza stone. 6. First bake: 30 minutes at 350°F, then take out and let cool. 7. Second bake: Same as first bake. 30 minutes at 350°F. 8.
