We have applied all the principles of engineered minimalism that are the hallmarks of Restrap’s luggage range to our Switch Rack: lightweight construction, durable materials, quick and simple fitment/removal. Measuring thread pitch Here are the key features: -Thru-axle mounted aluminium alloy rack -64mm spaced bolting on the rack legs for cages, Restrap Switch Panniers or any other compatible accessories -Top bar will be compatible with Restrap Switch ecosystem new products -High Grade 7075-T6 aluminium 12mm diameter axles in 1mm, 1.5mm and 1.75mm thread pitch options -Spare axles available separately -25mm velcro strap to fit all seat post sizes and shapes -Quick flip system provides maximum wheel clearance across all bike sizes -ISO tested up to 30kg load -Lightweight construction of just 395g (without axle and bolts) -Made in the UK All racks will ship with the customer’s selected axle included in the price. Fitting the Switch Rack: -Remove your bike’s current thru-axle -Remove M5 bolts from both ends of Restrap Switch thru-axle -Fit the Restrap Switch thru-axle using a 6mm allen key. Use as many 3mm washers as necessary to centralise the top bar over the rear wheel -Use the supplied axle cone spacer for compatible frames -Slot rack legs over either end of the axle -Screw in M5 bolts to secure -Ensure the rubberised fabric strap is tightly wrapped around the seatpost or seat tube -Use velcro strap to tightly secure the seatpost/tube mount -Tighten all bolts Tailoring fit: -Quick flip system allows you to flip the top bar to maximise wheel clearance and provide a range of seat post or frame mounting points. -Simply rotate the top bar and ensure it is centralised. -Remove the velcro strap from the seatpost/tube clamp and rethread to ensure the Restrap logo tab is on the drive side (because aesthetics are important) Compatibility: -Only compatible with bikes with a 12mm diameter thru-axle -Compatible with bikes with 142mm or 148mm (Boost) spacing -Not designed for use with full-suspension frames IMPORTANT – ensure axle thread pitch matches your bike. Do not attempt to fit without the correct thread pitch.
