How To: Switch Top Bag

The Switch Top Bag is aerodynamic, completely waterproof, features a tool-less quick release mechanism and stretch side pockets. Specifically designed to seamlessly attach to the Restrap Switch Rack, creating a versatile, 100% weatherproof inline carry system. Thanks to the Hiplok X Restrap Switch mount and quick release tension loops, the Switch Top Bag can be removed in seconds. This makes it ideal for bikepacking and touring, allowing you to remove the entire bag and bring it inside your tent or hotel room, rather than having to unpack the bag in-situ. Easy-access stretch side pockets allow you to stow items that you want to keep at hand – suncream, snacks, gloves or a waterproof – while also keeping them separate from items you need to keep dry. Instructions for use Pre-fitting First attach your Restrap Switch Rack to your bike Take the Hiplok Switch Mount off the bag and attach it to the top bar of the rack using 2xM5 bolts provided. During the initial fitting, ensure that the Hiplok fitting is positioned all the way back, towards your seat post. Next, take the mushroom-shaped mounting washers and attach these to the top bottle boss, on both sides of the arch using the bolts provided. Fitting You can now slide the bag into the Hiplok fitting on the top of the rack. Check that the feet on the base of the bag land directly on top of the arch of the rack. Next pull down the webbing tension loops on either side of the bag to hook onto the mounting washer on the arch. Use the ladder locks on the back of the bag to pull tight to hold the bag in place. The bag should now be secured to the rack. Removal Release the tension from the ladder locks. Unhook the two straps from the arch. Lift the tab on the Hiplok fitting, and slide off backwards. Adjusting bag location For bikes with limited saddle clearance, it is possible to move the Switch Top Bag backwards, away from your saddle by up to 20mm. Remove the bag from the rack. Loosen the bolts on the Hiplok fitting on the top bar of the rack and slide the fitting towards the back of your bike. Retighten bolts. On the underside of the bag, loosen the foot bolts and slide it towards the front of the bag as far as you can. Tighten the bolts back up. When sliding the bag back onto the rack make sure the feet on the bag rest directly on the arch.
