Immortals

“Immortals” was created after a subscriber from Iran shared a message with me about the events of January 9, 2026, describing it as a night of resistance and loss that deeply impacted many people in his country. He asked me to compose a piece in memory of the innocent protesters and suggested the title “Immortals.” His words carried a strong sense of courage, perseverance, and the emotional weight of living through historical moments that leave permanent scars on a generation. Because of that, I wanted this composition to have a more epic and cinematic atmosphere while still feeling emotional and reflective. The slow cello movements, dark textures, and gradual progression were designed to express tension, resilience, and the feeling of continuing forward even during moments of chaos and uncertainty. As Marcus Aurelius once wrote: “The impediment to action advances action.
