Just minutes after hatching, an inchworm falls into the void. But you haven't seen the last of it.
You can see its brothers and sisters still hatching above it. While I was recording a cluster of 24 eggs hatching (over more than four hours), this was one of the dramatic moments. Pretty impressive for a caterpillar that isn't even an hour old.
